LexVanguard respects the intellectual property rights of creators, authors, and copyright holders and complies fully with the provisions of Title 17, United States Code, Section 512, known as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").

DMCA Notice

It is our strict policy to respond promptly to clear, documented notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the statutory requirements of the DMCA. Upon receiving a compliant infringement notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the challenged material.

Notice of Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent acting on behalf of a copyright owner, and you believe that content hosted on LexVanguard infringes your copyrighted work, you may submit a formal written notification containing the statutory elements outlined below.

Filing a DMCA Complaint

To submit a legally valid DMCA takedown notification, please supply our designated Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:

• A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, including the exact URL where the material is located.
• Information reasonably sufficient to permit our agent to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and an electronic mail address.
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If material you posted was removed or disabled as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe such removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification pursuant to Sections 512(g)(2) and (3) of the DMCA. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the complaining party and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless court action is initiated.
